Sarah’s Story — The Heart Behind Lion Heart Estate Sales

Hello friends,

I don’t usually take center stage that’s more my husband’s strength but today I wanted to share a little bit of my story and the part I play in the heart of our business, Lion Heart Estate Sales.

My journey into this work didn’t start with a business plan or a big dream. It started quietly, years ago, helping with estate sales long before we ever put a name on what we do. I didn’t track the years, because it never felt like a job it felt like something I was meant to do.

What stayed with me most were the families.

The pain they were carrying.

The stories behind every room.

And the chance to stand beside people when they were overwhelmed, grieving, or trying to let go.

I learned quickly that estate sales aren’t about “selling things.” They’re about supporting people through one of the most emotional transitions of their lives.

One of my favorite memories was helping an elderly couple downsize and move into community living. They were funny, deeply in love, and full of stories. Watching the way they laughed and held onto each other was like looking into the future like seeing a version of Christopher and me decades from now. It made me realize that this work is about connection, not just organization.

Before Lion Heart, I spent years running a restaurant. Being a general manager taught me everything from leadership to schedules to staying calm when a hundred things go wrong at once. It taught me how to run a team, how to serve people with patience, and how to keep operations moving even when it’s stressful behind the scenes.

That experience shows up in our business every single day.

I’m not the talker that’s Christopher’s gift.

But I am the one who steps in and gets things done.

Organization, staging, cleaning, planning, managing our team, keeping the small things from becoming big things that’s where I’m strongest. I’m the quiet one, the steady one, the one people don’t always see but always feel in how the sale turns out.

At home, I’m a mom of five. And nothing teaches endurance, grace, and problem-solving like motherhood. When you’re raising a big family and running a business, you learn how to keep going, how to adapt, and how to give your best even when you’re tired.

And honestly? Those skills translate beautifully to this work.

Because at the end of the day, estate sales are emotional. They’re personal. Families need someone who’s calm, organized, respectful, and steady in the middle of everything. That’s the part I bring to Lion Heart.

Christopher brings the drive, the vision, the big ideas, and the connection with people.

I bring the structure, the compassion, the details, and the heart work that keeps everything grounded.

Together, we’ve built something I’m truly proud of not just a successful business, but a way of serving families with honesty, respect, and real care. We’ve also built deep relationships with churches, realtors, fiduciaries, and organizations throughout our community who trust us because they’ve seen how we work and how much we care.

Lion Heart isn’t just a company.

It’s a reflection of our values.

It’s a calling.

It’s something we hope our kids will be proud of.

And it’s an honor to walk alongside families as they move forward one story, one home, one transition at a time.

Thank you for reading my story, and for letting our family serve yours.

With love,

Sarah Stofle
